Maltby - Murphy - Walsemann Platform

ICA AS A UNIQUE OFFERING: While many use the term merger as a buzzword, we know that a separate and strong ICA is absolutely necessary for the survival of chiropractic as we know it. We will protect ICA as a unique organization and will NOT support the concept of Merger.
EVERY CHIROPRACTOR SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROVIDE THEIR PATIENTS WITH THE CARE THEY NEED: Today many DC’s are having their licenses challenged by State Boards for doing nothing more than providing quality Chiropractic care for their patients. ICA should provide strong leadership and support for a Chiropractor’s right to provide his or her patient with the care they need.
RESEARCH: Research is vital to our profession. I want ICA to lead the way in developing and coordinating with our colleges and field doctors, meaningful research into the effectiveness of vertebral subluxation correction and to create mechanisms by which this information is disseminated to legislative and educational leaders worldwide.
GRASSROOTS LEGISLATIVE COALITION: ICA must begin to use our largest constituency, the Chiropractic patient. In California we have signed up over 14,000 patients to participate in lobbying on behalf of Chiropractic. We need do this nationally.
AS AN ICA OFFICIAL ELIMINATE PERSONAL GAIN: NEVER take advantage of ICA office to promote my personal business or exploit my ICA position on behalf of any other concern, business or organization.
COMMUNICATION: We pledge to strengthen ICA communication at every level. Communication between the Representative Assembly and the Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors to the Representative Assembly. From the home office to the Board of Directors and to the Representative Assembly. Last but not least, increase communication to our members and chiropractors worldwide.
FINALLY WE PLEDGE TO MAKE OUR FIRST PRIORITY ICA: We will do whatever it takes to make ICA the organization for all Chiropractors who wish to preserve and protect the founding principles of BJ PALMER.
